On May 24, 2026 SORE officially launched with its very first community gathering at PREPA Cafe, bringing together a curated group of founders, creatives, athletes, professionals, and racket sport enthusiasts from across Yerevan.
What started as an idea between a small group of friends who shared a love for tennis quickly turned into something much bigger, a growing community built around connection through racket sports.
The evening marked the beginning of what SORE hopes to become: not just a tennis club, but a modern social club where people come together to play, connect, and grow both on and off the court.
Hosted at PREPA’s Cascade location, the launch event created a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where guests from different industries and backgrounds connected naturally over conversations about sport, wellness, business, community, and life in Yerevan.
Throughout the evening, the SORE team shared the vision behind the community and why they believe racket sports can become a powerful tool for bringing people together in a more meaningful way.
“We live in a time where everything has become incredibly digital,” shared SORE Co-founder during the evening. “People are constantly connected online, yet somehow feel more disconnected than ever. SORE was created to bring back real community and real human interaction through a shared passion for racket sports.”
The event also introduced SORE’s broader vision for the future, one that goes far beyond organizing games.
Moving forward, SORE plans to host a wide range of experiences including social rallies, mixers, tournaments, skill development sessions, wellness events, retreats, and collaborative activations across Armenia’s growing racket sports scene.
One of the core ideas behind SORE is the belief that to be “sore” is to be in a state of becoming — the feeling that reminds you growth is happening in real time. The community hopes to embody that same mindset by bringing together people who are ambitious, active, curious, and constantly pushing themselves forward.
More than anything, the launch event showed that there is a real appetite in Armenia for intentional communities and spaces where people can connect more naturally.
SORE also emphasized that this is something they hope to build collectively alongside other clubs, communities, and partners across Armenia, not in isolation.
The team closed the evening by thanking PREPA for hosting the inaugural launch and supporting the vision from the very beginning. PREPA’s focus on health, lifestyle, and community aligned naturally with the direction SORE hopes to take as it continues to grow.
